Club History

East Craigie FC are Dundee's oldest football club and arguably the longest continuously playing Junior Club in Scotland.

Formed in 1880 at the Wallace Craigie Works in the Stobswell area of Dundee, the club became known as the Shipbuilders thanks to the strong links with the Gilligan family and shipyard workers. The club's first rooms were at the top of Springhill just off the Arbroath Road, not too far away from where we call home now.

Craigie Park has been home to the club since 1932 and just like the team has a long history associated with football in the town. It has also been used as a boxing venue, cycle track and for many other sporting and community events.

Two teams currently make up the club with the Juniors playing in the Midlands League affiliated to the East Region of the SJFA and a 2004 age group playing in the DDYFA leagues.
